iPhone-envious users on Verizon, rejoice! You can now have Visual Voicemail on your Voyager… For a price. Yes, that’s right. Voyager users (with software version VK10KV09) now have the ability to listen to your voicemail without calling into *86 every time, a bliss that iPhone users have had for a while now. Of course, like everything Verizon, not all is sunshine and flowers.

The application is free, but the service itself costs $2.99 per month plus data charges, so if you don’t have a VCAST plan, you will be charged $1.99 per megabyte, so if you have a lot of voicemail messages, the overages may add up quickly. Also, the Voyager is the only phone as of now that is able to use it. You’ll have the ability to store 40 messages for 40 days and have 10 separate greetings based on caller-ID.

So while it isn’t free, it’s still a decent looking featured for the Voyager and hopefully new phones in the future.
