Remember how up-in-arms T-Mobile customers got when we found out the Touch Pro 2 would be priced at $349.99 with a 2 year contract? Understandably upset, as that is one of the highest priced devices T-mobile has ever offered. It is also is easily the most feature-rich device that T-Mobile has ever offered. But with a price as high as $350, it is safe to assume that turned a lot of customers away from buying T-Mobile’s newest smartphone. Well have we got a deal for you…

You can pick up the T-Mobile TouchPro 2 on Amazon for $149.99. That is less than T-Mobile sells the MyTouch 3G, Memoir, or Sidekick LX for. You can pick up the Touch Pro 2 for $200 less on Amazon.com than you will be able to from T-Mobile directly.

Wow, what a week! With over 20 articles published here on CPS in the past week, we understand that not everyone has time to read through our arsenal of all T-Mobile News, and breaking news in the wireless industry. That is why we are bringing you a summary of this week in a quick, easy to read article. Without further ado, here is the weekly review for the 2nd week of August:

- Aug. 7th: A convincing screenshot of HTC’s website surfaces, showing specifications for the “HTC Hero (T-Mobile USA).” A short while after this screenshot surfaces, T-Mobile denies that we will be seeing the HTC Hero on T-Mobile shelves.
- Aug. 7th: CPS breaks the news: A interesting Nokia devices passes the FCC, and while we don’t have a lot of details, we can tell that it is extra wide, with a QWERTY keyboard, T-Mobile 3G, and more. We suspect this is the N900 or Nokia Rover, and Internet tablet that, according to MobileCrunch, is headed to T-Mobile shelves in September. Read the article

With a slew of T-Mobile G1 news coming in, and a wee bit of speculation over G2 announcements, today has been a big day for the T-Mobile Android G series. The news coming hot of the presses is revolving around an official announcement about the T-Mobile G1 Cupcake update coming in April 2009. A spokesperson for T-Mobile apparently stated that “We will be offering G1 users the firmware update sometime in April.”
