The phone with a keypad with many personalities is soon to be released on the T-Mobile network. Motorola’s ROKR E8, touted as a music phone, is reported to be announced on T-Mobile tomorrow to many fan’s pleasure.

The ROKR E8 provides a different touch-keypad experience with a dynamically changing area. One moment it can show your standard alpha-numeric keypad, the next is can show music controls. It all depends on what application you are in at a given point. The keypad also features haptic feedback that “make them feel as if they are actually clicking when pressed.” This is different than other haptic technologies featured in phones such as the LG Voyager where when a button is pressed, the phone gives a short vibration.

The E8 has 2GB of internal storage for music, photos, and videos among other things and has an additional microSD card slot that accepts 4GB.

Sidenote: Some of our forum users are reporting that the E8 will be released on July 7th. This goes along with the theory of an announcement tomorrow and release at a later date.
