Back in Feb, RIM demonstrated the WebKit Browser for Blackberry. Unfortunately, there’s no word on when BlackBerry users will actually be able to get their hands on this. Now Motorola with its new MB508, will also use the new WebKit Browser version 2.1.

The open source WebKit browser engine is already found in Apple’s iPhone, Palm’s Pre, and Google’s Android; its use by RIM will give the Canadian company feature parity. The introduction of a WebKit-powered BlackBerry browser has been expected since RIM’s purchase in August 2009 of Torch Mobile, a company specializing in WebKit-based mobile browser design. Maybe this is a new Android 2.1 phone. The phone will feature, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, Qwerty Keyboard, 320×480 screen size and GSM/ 3G bands.
