According with Mactrast, Not only Verizon, AT&T and Sprint are getting the new iPhone 5 ( iPhone 4G) but also T-Mobile as well. The informant, who requested to remain anonymous, went on to claim that the iPhone 5 would also operate at 3G speeds on T-Mobile US network. As you know you can buy an iPhone from AT&T , jailbreak it and unlock it to use it on T-Mobile’s network, or buying an unlocked one from Apple store. However it will only run under 2.5 EDGE T-Mo speed.
T-Mobile USA expects the iPhone 5 to launch sometime in early to mid October, same as the rest of the carriers. The source indicates :
“We expect the addition of the iPhone, and the iPhone 5′s ability to run on our 3G network to make a significant financial difference for T-Mobile.”

A T-Mobile spokesperson said to 9 to 5 Mac that most of the iPhones on the company’s network pre-date the iPhone 4, and now T-Mobile has more than one million iPhone running on T-MO 2.5 Network.
The company is working on adding Micro SIM cards as an option for customers, although a release date hasn’t been announced. Currently, T-Mobile offers only standard-size SIM cards which are substantially larger than the Micro SIM cards used in the iPhone and iPads.
T-Mobile will now get more iPhone running on its network after Apple started selling unlocked iPhones in the USA. However, they are taking advantage of T-Mo 3G or 4G bands.

There are some high expectations about the new iPhone 5 or iPhone nano hitting T-Mobile and Sprint this spring. The Wall Street Journal and their sources report that Apple is currently working on another iPhone (not the iPhone 5) that is apparently half the size of the current iPhone 4. Also, there are some rumors that it will be available for $200 off-contract, but will be compatible with all carriers (GSM and CDMA). Dubbed the iPhone Nano, it is expected to release sometime in June or July 2011.
The new iPhone will be half the size of the current model and could be available for as little as $49 on contract. Possibly including “voice navigation” feature as well, providing a more flushed-out catalog of voice commands

According with Cult of Mac, a reliable source indicates that T-Mobile USA is very close to getting the iPhone in the fall, as soon as Apple finished its exclusive contract with AT&T. Talks between Apple and T-Mobile are at an advanced stage, and it’s 80 percent likely that the iPhone will be coming to T-Mobile in Q3. These rumors where surfing on the net for a while and nobody can explain how Apple will offer 3G speeds using T-Mobile 3G network knowing they are not compatible?.
Many are confused about 2100 band with 2100/1700 offer by T-Mobile. They are totally different. One is the BAND I used in Europe and ASIA, the other is the Band IV only used by T-Mobile in the USA ( and other regional carrier) So, don’t day : they only need 1700 because the iPhone has alrady 2100… Anyway..
Many of us want the iPhone on T-Mobile, but personally I don’t want the Apple phone only with EDGE speeds.
