According with Computerworld, he T-Mobile G2 will get the upgrade that everyone is waiting for, Gingerbread Android 2.3. “An HTC spokesperson tells me the phone is scheduled to receive the update sometime within the second quarter of this year. In other words, if all goes as planned, you’ll be feasting on Gingerbread by the start of summer.” said Jr Raphael.
As you see guys, don’t start hating your G2 too soon, it will get better and better.

When the T-Mobile G2 came out, it packed good features, like HSPA+. However, the processor was a shame, only 800 GHz. The last time, the G2 got Overclocked up to 1.4 GHz, now, thanks always to the team of XDA Developers, a user could Overclocked the G2 up to 1.9 GHz. According with XDA, the processor not only increased more than 100% capacity, but also it is stable reaching 2700 and 2800 in Quadrant and 55-60 in Linpack.

The overclock for the T-Mobil2 G2 is out for the public thanks to XDA developers. The T-Mobile G2 features a 800Hz processor. But now with overclock, the G2 can reach up to 1.4 GHz .
While we recommend strongly against attempting the mod unless you really know what you’re doing, that shouldn’t stop anyone from ogling the results of this great hack… remember, you can damage your phone forever!.

T-Mobile just announced and update for the G2, giving it the capacity of making phones over WiFi and tether. Here is the official statement.:
“Wi-Fi Calling and tethering/Wi-Fi sharing are not currently supported on the T-Mobile G2. T-Mobile knows these features are important to consumers and we’re working to deliver them to G2 users in the future. We have nothing further to announce at this time.”
However, only few people got this update. We are not talking about 15K people per day.. nope. just a few..

Thanks to AndroidCentral we can see how fast the new G2 can download information. The location is unknown and at the same time, the pages are not processing at that speed but at least we can give you a little idea how “theoretically” HSPA+ works in some areas and with the G2, so far.

RadioShack will be the first retail dealer to offer the new T-Mobile G2 starting this October 3rd. The new G2 will feature a 5MP camera with autofocus and Flash, 8Gb internal memory, WiFi, GPS, Android 2,2. Price 149.99 with 2 years contract. A US$ 30.00 data plan is a must in order to get the phone and the deal.

Just few days ago, Best Buy announced the pre-sale of the new T-Mobile G2 for about 199.99 with 2 years contract. Now RadioShack just announced it will also carry the phone and will offer it in pre-sale, but for about 149.99 , also with 2 years contract. We still don’t know the official price from T-Mobile or even when it will launch the G2. We just need to wait for another leaked information.
The G2 is powered by a Qualcomm MSM 7230 ”Snapdragon” processor at 800MHz. There’s a 5-megapixel camera with full 720p video recording.
The G2 will launch with Android 2.2 and have seven customizable home screens, including one dedicated to apps. Preloaded software includes the new Google Search Voice Actions, the new Google Voice app, Swype, Google Earth, Google Voice, Google Maps, YouTube, Google Talk and Adobe FlashPlayer. To store all those apps, the G2 comes with 4GB of internal memory and an 8GB microSD card (expandable to 32GB).

We did it again, same as we were the first ones of obtaining the official pictures of the Samsung Vibrant, now we give you the first official pictures of the T-Mobile G2. As you know the T-Mobile G2 is going to be the first HSPA+ phone running speeds up to 11mbps. We believe the G2 will only come in one color.. silver, a completely different way when T-MO launched the Slide 3G or G1.
UPDATE: According with HTC, Walmart web site shows HTC Sense as a feature for the T-Mobile G2
