T-Mobile will launch a new USB modem, WebConnect Glide, Huawei UMG 1691

T-Mobile is adding new phone recently, like the new color refresh of the Samsung Gravity 2, Nokia Nuron 5230, and soon a new Android phone from Motorola, The Cliq XT with physical keyboard. Now T-Mobile is preparing a new USB modem. Not Happy with the Jet, the magenta carrier will launch the WebConnect Glide or UMG 1691.  The new USB modem will feature Quadband GSM/EDGE, compatible with HSDPA/HSUPA. As other USB modems, the WebConnect Glide will feature a slot for a micro SD memory card, up to 8GB.  Not official news from T-Mobile about when or price the Glide will be released. FCC passed Samsung T569, a curve touch screen phone?

FCC just passed the new Samsung T569 coming to T-Mobile. This new curve phone will feature SMS, MMS, Bluetooth and IM as well as T-Mobile’s MyFaves program to keep in contact with customers’ favorite people. Integrated Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology allows users to wirelessly connect to optional compatible handsfree accessories such as headsets and car kits. Besides that, we can tell you that the Samsung T569 will feature a 200 x 400 screen size, 2 soft keys, 3G bands and a Dolphin Browser version 1.5 (same as the Jet)

Seams like this phone will be a mix of the Samung Corby with the Samsung Jet or a new version of the Samsung Highlight. All of them use Dolphin browser.

Nokia Nuron 5230, first official pictures leaked!

As we told you before (btw, we were the first ones to tell you about this phone) T-Mobile is launching this March 17th. Here we have the first official pictures of the Nokia Nuron 5230 Xpress Music. This is a mid entry touch screen phone that supports 3G (HSDPA) bands, aGPS  (compatible with Ovi Maps 3.0), 2MP camera, and more.  If you like touch screen and Symbian OS  phones, this is the right device for you, but you have to wait until March 17th. This phone will come in white, but we believe will come in other colors too.

Blackberry Pearl 9100 coming to T-Mobile?

As we told you before, RIM is getting ready for the launching of its new Pear Series device, the Blackberry 9100, or Pearl 3G. So far we had seen pictures of the 9100 with 850/1900 3G bands ( same as AT&T and Rogers use). Now, thanks to The cellularguru.com, there is another version of the 9100 with 3G bands, 1, 4 and 8. ( T-Mobile and Wind use AWS band 4, 1700/2100).  This is going to be, not only the first 3G Pearl, but it will be the first Blackberry phone that supports 802.11 n.

Don’t forget also that T-Mobile will replace the 8900 for the Blackberry 8910

Google to T-Mobile : Your 3G Network is Poor !!

Google and T-Mobile have been working on fixing the 3G problem on the Nexus One. As you know, the Nexus One has some issues trying to connect to T-Mobile’s 3G network, jumping from 3G to EDGE like crazy.

Google has completed its research into the issue and is laying the blame at the feet of the weak 3G network ran by T-Mobile. A bug was also found in the software of the handset during the investigation and a fix is incoming to address the issue.

Take a moment about this.. if you have a G1 and a Nexus 1, and both are capable to work on T-Mobile’s 3G network and only one phone (the G1) can connect to it.. do you blame the network or the other phone? ..

T-Mobile finished upgrading to HSPA 7.2 Mbps, will be the first carreer to offer it HSPA+ in mid 2010

T-Mobile HSPA +

Yes guys, T-Mobile finally has finished upgrading its 3G network to HSPA 7.2 Mbps. Now, the whole country can enjoy that improvement from 3.6 to 7.2 Mbps.

T-Mobile also pointed out that its 3G footprint now covers some 200 million Americans. T-Mobile also said that it plans to be the first U.S. carrier to deploy HSPA+ across its network by mid 2010. T-Mobile currently has an HSPA+ trial under way in Philadelphia. Once fully enabled, HSPA+ will offer up to 21Mbps downloads.
