T-Mobile’s addition of 621,000 new customers in Q4 of 2008 is nothing to brag about. Of course it is better than some of the numbers Sprint has been reporting recently (1 million customer loss anyone?), but it doesn’t stand up to Verizon’s 1.37 million or AT&T’s 2.1 million new customers in Q4.

A year ago T-Mobile reported 951,000 new subscribers to their network in Q4 of 2007, and more recently 670,000 new customers were added in Q3 of 2008. Q4 will bring T-Mobile’s total number of customers up to 32.8 million customers total.

T-Mobile CEO Robert Dotson states that “Game-changing 3G-enabled devices like the T-Mobile G1 with Google are delivering a steady stream of new mobile services, while creating some of the highest levels of customer satisfaction we’ve ever seen at T-Mobile.”

With devices coming out in 2009 such as the G2, a new Sidekick, the Wing II, and more, T-Mobile seems to be making a big push to replace Sprint as the United State’s number 3 carrier. As the T-Mobile community continues to grow we will of course continue to keep you up to date on all the T-Mobile News that you need to know.
