T-Mobile launches a news slider phone Samsung T659

Today, right on schedule, T-Mobile just launched the new Samsung T659. We have known about this phone for quite a while. This phone was suppoused to be released on Sept 2nd, but an unexpected deleyed, it was pushed till today.
The new Samsung T659, codename Scarlet, is another slider phone with 3G bands. Specifications, manual and tips can be found here. You can get it on line or by going to any T-Mobile retail store and get it for 69.99 after 50 mail in rebate. Look a little expensive to me for being a simple slider phone.

t-marco…. I saw your cheapshot coming a long time ago! Just because its not a "smartphone" does not mean its a simple slider phone. I feel the whole move to 'smartphones" as a bunch of industry hype myself. I am sure CNET will be equally unkind. Like the T819, which this phone is the replacement for, I am sure the T659 will be a quality mid-range phone, with quality features. Not everyone wants a music phone, or a replacement for their camera or video camera, that's a phone too.
