Can't get out of your contract? Just let Bas take care of your carrier for you. Check out Bas Rutten, the MMA legend, as he 'breaks' contracts on www.celldefense.com. It's hilarious!

This worked - the early termination fee was waived! I have been a very dissatisfied customer for the past 3 years.

I was able to do this due to the stipulation on the contract terms, noted above, as well as the fact that I had used overage minutes in the past few months.

Thanks t-marco!

I called T-Mobile because of that. They said I can't get out because I didn't exceed the minutes in any of the previous 3 months.

I signed a new contract to get the T-Mo 8900 in April. Can I use this to get out of my contract but not cancel my account so I can get the 9700 when it comes out at the new contract price?

I just wanted to point out that to cancel the contract is to cancel the service. I doubt they would let you do one without the other, so unless you want to hop providers, this is rather pointless.
