T-Mobile improves converage on the Gulf of Mexico

T-Mobile is getting really serious about increasing and improving its coverage, and this is a great step for all the people who live near the gulf of Mexico. A new deal between Broadpoint and T-Mobile USA will provide T-Mobile customers with better connection in the offshore Gulf of Mexico area.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Houston telecommunications company’s multiyear roaming agreement with T-Mobile gives customers access to wireless voice, data and messaging service over 100,000 square miles of the Gulf of Mexico.
In April, Broadpoint increased the number of cellular sites in the Gulf of Mexico by more than 30 percent as part of an initiative to upgrade its global system for mobile communications offshore that began in October 2008.
More about Broadpoint:
The Broadpoint 3G wireless network, based on GSM technology, provides seamless coverage across more than 100,000 square miles of the Gulf of Mexico. Thanks to extensive roaming agreements, our system is fully compatible with others across North America.
Through our cellular products and services, we keep people connected.
