I agree, did you have the first Behold?
@NikkiKathleen23 on October 8th, 2009 1:04 pm
I have 4 Beholds before I was sent the G1 as a replacement for having 4 broken Beholds. 2 of the broken beholds have camera issues. When you zoomed in on your camera, it would turn different colours, then re-boot over and over until you took out the battery. The other 2 beholds black screened on me. I finally got so fed up with having replacements sent to me, that I got the G1. I had the first G1 for 2 weeks, and I was unable to send picture messages. T-mobile changed my phone number 2 times to try and fix the issue and when they couldn't, they sent me a new G1. Well I have had this one for 2 weeks, and when I got the update for the 1.6 Firmware, and update. My phone completely crashed.
@NikkiKathleen23 on October 8th, 2009 1:04 pm
Called t-mobile, they told me that was a known issue, and that they would send me a new G1. I informed them that I didn't want a new G1 as I already would be on replacement 3, after just have 4 Beholds previously and they said they did not have a replacement for the G1. So I am basically stuck with a phone that doesn't work. And all they could give me out of all the issues I've had, was a $19.99 payment to ship the new G1 out express. I don't, and never will recommend T-Mobile to any one!

@ nikki,
i have had 6 blackberry pearls replaced and the sixth one worked great. just that the fact maybe you are too harsh on your phones that u might need too switch to another provider other then tmobile. actually they could have helped you but seems to me your too stuck up to deal with so no wonder they put you where u are put now in a postion that you can't even help your self cuz of all that has happened to you. if you were nice enough to talk to T-MOBILE > they would have helped you out. but i guess thats what a loyal costumer is for. well hope that helps you out and last time i heard this was a discussion of samung new behold 2. not your problems.

The behold2 is the american version of the galaxy lite . I for one am very excited and i can't wait to get it. Because when it gets updated to eclair it will be a beast phone, in my opinion. Don't hold the name against this phone cause theres no comparison to the last behold at all.
rick on November 14th, 2009 8:55 pm
Just seen it in my hands and its great, makes the old behold look like some cheap low brand phone and the features……….WOW. really great im sure you'll love it

I am really looking forward to getting my Samsung Behold II in February. I am waiting for current 2 year stint to end to get a cheaper price. So far, this looks amazing. I have seen reviews with stock Behold II and look forward to chance to update to Android 2.0 if needed at all. Since it is a new phone, I would expect some hiccups to show, so hopefully I get a batch that has been revised at least once when I get mine. Looking forward to the unlimited possibilities it seems. Been using flip phones since 2006, have been wanting to add functionality for a long time. Does POP exist on these phones when used with WiFi? Also, have seen that 3G can't be turned off, has anyone came with a way to fix this and make it more selective? For example, when at work, signal strengths aren't that great, would rather use WiFi capabilities for any browsing or web related activity. Currently get with the Beat about 2 to 0 bars inside work, when I move around I do get better strengths. Share your opinions with me at http://www.Behold-Android.com a place only for Behold II owners

After having my behold 1 replaced 7 times, T Mobile sent me the behold 2. I am now on my third one of those in less than a month, and am now sending it back for a replacement, T Mobile is sending me the motorola cliq xt instead since these samsung phones have been such a miserable failure. Imagine a phone that literally makes you not want to use it, EVER!
There are a variety of major problems with the behold 2. First and foremost, this phone is not an improvement on the behold 1, which was an incredible mess and a victim of poor engineering and software development.
The behold 2 does do much more than the aforementioned behold, but it does these things terribly, which defeats the purpose of making this phone in the first place. The processor speed is much too clunky and slow to offer even what would be considered a mildly acceptable experience. My experience was not even tolerable in the mildest. The bluetooth feature is sketchy at best, and continually disconnects from my headset. Not only that, but the bluetooth actually has less features than the behold 1. It was actually nice being able to control the voice command right on the headset. The behold 2 does not support this feature.
Texting is a nightmare on this phone, especially with the new swype feature, because they placed the "done" button right below the delete button which provedes a nice aggravating back and fourth between text and send screens. The battery life on the behold 2 is amazingly horrific. I often find myself plugging this phone in 3 times a day, and sometimes when I don't charge it at night, the phone will completely drain the battery by morning.
Dropped calls are one of the highlight feature of the behold 2, and believe me, they are plenty.
One of the nice features on this phone is that it will randomly reboot itself several times per day, or when launching apps.
I would say that of of my favorite tricks this phone plays on me is when the proximity sensor malfunctions and places my calls on either hold or mute while the phone is up to my ear, either that or the phone will just go for broke and reboot right in the middle of a call. This is probably due to it launching apps in the background that I never use.
There are a number of intensely annoying features that this phone offers like the triple stacked way of launching certain functions, for example. The cube launches functions and apps, ok,, but it's retarded, mostly useless, and come on, let's be honest, just a gimmick. Then there is the quick list feature, which I use. And there is the frankenstein version of android that launches some features and apps. Can anyone tell me why samsung decided to place at least 3 ways to access the settings feature?
I could go on and on, but in conclusion I am going to go ahead and give this failure of a phone a TRIPLE EPIC FAIL – MINUS.
Don't waste your time of money, this phone is not worth free.
