Samsung Kies Beta available for Mac

By: t-marco June 3rd, 2011

Samsung have finally released Kies for Mac, an application that was previously only available for Windows. Kies can be used to sync data and multimedia and helps users upgrade firmware that can’t be had over the air. The software supports a limited number of devices, including the Galaxy S II and Galaxy Tab ( i tested my Captivate and nothing) but we expect Samsung to add their older devices over time.

The latest to come to our attention is in which Samsung Galaxy Portal owners are trying to rally the troops to get Samsung to update its OS to Android 2.2..Heres the complete and rather bashful petition .To Samsung. We would like Samsung to update the Galaxy SPICA Lite Portal phone also known as i5700 to Android 2.2 as we feel that the device is fully capable of supporting the features in the new OS and it is still too early to stop supporting the device. Of course if you Samsung are intending to update the phone to 2.2 thank you so much!
