HTC confirms Icecream coming to the Sensation and Amaze 4G

HTC has just just announced the availability of the new Android 4.0 aka Icecream to some HTC devices , and that includes the Sensation and Amaze 4G.  Here is the official statement :

“HTC knows how excited our fans are to get their hands on Google’s latest version of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, so we’re thrilled today to announce the first wave of HTC phones that will receive upgrades: We can confirm the brand new HTC Vivid, on sale beginning today, is upgradeable to Ice Cream Sandwich. In addition, Ice Cream Sandwich is coming in early 2012 to a variety of devices including the HTC Sensation, HTC Sensation XL and HTC Sensation XE, as well as the HTC Rezound, HTC EVO 3D, HTC EVO Design 4G and HTC Amaze 4G through close integration with our carrier partners. We’re continuing to assess our product portfolio, so stay tuned for more updates on device upgrades, timing and other details about HTC and Ice Cream Sandwich.”

Today T-Mobile has just announced the new and improved Blackberry Torch 9810.  This is the first time that T-MO USA carries a Torch Model being exclusively to AT&T, now that this is over, T-Mo will offer it stating this November 9th for US$ 249.99 after 50 dollars mail in rebate with 2 years contract.

T-Mobile just announced the new Samsung Exhibit II 4G, aka Samsung Galaxy W, available this Nov 2nd for US$ 30 with 2 years contract , and US$ 200 without. Galaxy Nexus sign up page includes T-Mobile USA!!

Besides Samsung or Google haven’t officially announced what USA carrier will carry the Galaxy Nexus, on the Sign up page, clearly you can see 7 National Carrier, including T-Mobile USA.  Verizon Wireless is the “only” (so far) carrier that will offer the Galaxy Nexus. We are waiting for the official news. Keep your finger crossed.

T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II now, Rooted!

Great news for those how like to root their phone and flash custom ROMs out there. Now the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II can be rooted and the process is very easy. Here are the instructions:

1. Make sure windows recognizes your phone in ODIN.
—- adb reboot download
-or- Turn phone of, and hold both Vol up + Vol down, and plug the USB cable in.
2. Select the PDA button and browse to the recovery-cwm-hercules.tar
3. Select Start
4. It should flash the file to Recovery and reboot the phone.
5. After it has rebooted, mount USB storage and copy the Superuser zip to the sdcard
6 Reboot into recovery
— adb reboot recovery
-or- Power off phone, unplug USB, Hold Both Vol up + Vol down and Hit power
* PERFORM NANDROID BACKUP :D *
7. Select Install zip from sdcard, choose the superuser zip and let it finish.
8. Reboot!

T-Mobile G2 gets update, Android 2.3.4 , better battery life!

T-Mobile G2 is getting a new OTA update to Gingerbread 2.3.4 Software Version 2.16.531.5. The update will roll out to customers in waves over the coming weeks.

Here are the improvements :

  •     Google Security Patch
  •     Google Skymap improvements
  •     Battery life improvements
  •     Data connection while roaming domestically
