Nokia N96 passes FCC

Today, few days ago we saw the Nokia 85 passing by FCC ; today is the turn for the Nokia N96. This is the upgrade of the Nokia N95. A 240 x 320 pixels display, a GPS built in, Wifi and more will make this phone a good iPhone competitor. The N96 is expected to be released later this year (Q3-2008)with a MSRP of US$800. This version of the Nokia N96 will bring a Dual WCDMA ( 2100 and 850 ) and a quad-band Edge/gsm.

    The EUT is a 6-band (GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA Band I/VIII) mobile phone with GPRS, EGPRS, Bluetooth and WLAN.

    Outside of USA and Canada, the transmitter of the device is capable of operating also in GSM/GPRS/EGPRS900, GSM/GPRS/EGPRS1800, WCDMA900 and WCDMA2100 bands which are not part of this filing.
