I've had mine for a few months now, I have it in red from Boost mobile. The top is plastic, so the corners are a little chipped up, but I really like the outside screen functions, such as the camera and the ability to call people on speaker without having to open the phone. One thing I do like is that it has a good solid feel to it, it's not at all flimsy or cheap feeling. The back is rubberized metal, which I like because it doesn't slide around in a car or resting on your leg. I kind of like the smooth keypad, my thumbs can go from button to button faster. I have had no problems with the iDEN network, in fact at football games, where no body's texts are getting out because of all the cell phones in the area, mine zips them out just as usual, it's like my phone operates in a different dimension! I have had a few problems sending people pictures, but it's only with people on Alltell. The size surprised me at first, I didn't really like how much bigger it was then my previous phone (a motorola flip from TracFone) but I've gotten used to it, it fits fine in my pocket and in my Vera Bradley wallet with the cell phone pocket. I like the lighting features and effects on the keypad, and also the time display when the phone is closed. Overall, I like my phone, and with the unlimited $50 plan from Boost, I'm happy with it : )

I have this phone..... :| It was my replacement for the i880 that broke. It's an ok fone but I'm the kind of person that sends 3,000+ text messages a month. Not a good phone for texting @ ALLL!!!!! I hate it because 1st off Sprints service sucks anyways. Then my messages hav to download!!!! Then sometimes it doesn't send so I have to do a master reset and i hate it. The phone itself is soooo big and blugy like I can barley fit it in my pocket . I have a case for it and that just makes it worse! I woodnt reccomend this phone!!! :||||||| I want 2 switch 2 VERIZON NOW!!!!!! GOODNESSS.

The Motorola i9's controls and keypad are flat and stiff. The camera is rather slow and photo quality is just average.

I was right it's the same problem child I thought was a hybrid only to find out it has a small speaker at the bottom that I had to hold close to my ear to hear! I took it back with a grin.
Trust me I could not drive a big rig over 10 years with bad ears.
I think Motorola is trying to squeeze all these electronic circuits into a small space and down sizing the speaker too and it just won't work.
Next time ya in a Sprint store try the little yellow Nextel phone and then try the i9 and get back to me and tell me what you hear.

I'm pretty sure that it is the same thing as the Stature... the full name of this phone is the Motorola i9 Stature. Don't bite my head off if I'm wrong, but from what I've read, they are the same thing. I just ordered one in red from Boost, I hear complaints about text messaging on the iDEN network, so we'll see how that works out, I guess... any reassurances to make me feel better?
