Microsoft just has introduced today a new phone running Windows Mobile 7 called Windows Phone 7 Series.  This really is a completely new OS. New and completely refresh. The first Windows 7 phones will be available by holiday 2010,  first maybe AT&T then T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.

Features Includes:

  • High resolution, capacitive, multitouch display with gestures that are similar to those in Windows 7 PC operating system
  • Each handset will have the same three dedicated buttons: start, Bing search,  back button
  • UI is touch-friendly throughout the entire OS, no stylus is needed
  • Personal and business information is integrated on the handset, emphasis on the dual function of the handset as a personal and business device
  • New scrolling, tile based interface for the start screen that dynamically displays updated content and can be customized to display the tiles relevant to each user
  • Phone/address auto-detection that links to dialer and map application
  • Application bar at the bottom of each application that gives the user quick access to the most used functions within an application
  • Bing search with geolocation to provide local results, directions, and business/restaurant reviews
  • Focus on efficiency that minimizes the number of touches to perform actions
  • Web browser is based  upon desktop Internet Explorer code with improved text rendering technology to make web browsing easier

  • Close partnership with AT&T and Orange

Several handset manufacturers and mobile operators have jumped on board the Windows Phone 7 including  AT&T, Deutsche Telekom AG, Orange, SFR, Sprint, Telecom Italia, Telefónica, Telstra, T-Mobile USA, Verizon Wireless, Vodafone, Dell, Garmin-Asus, HTC, HP, LG, Samsung, Sony Ericsson, Toshiba and Qualcomm

Lack of Flash support in the browser is going to severely hamper the utility of the web browsing experience. This is not going to be able to produce a "stand-alone" device. Access to a computer that allows full web browsing will always be needed as long as Flash technology is omitted from the build.

It will be better than a WAP browser but will still suffer from incomplete page renders and loss of site function to the extent each site depends on Flash technology. The Nokia N900 shows that it is possible to include flash in a reasonably size handheld device. This seems like an "Onward to the Past!" sort of decision .

This phone actually, is way over-rated I kind of hate it and was satisfied with my G1 more than I am with this bs. Too many reasons to list.

Enjoyment, free of charge games for a calmer auto tour..Long car trips with bored small children on the back seat can be unpleasant for everyone. Why not give these great old school family games a go? We’ve all been there. You haven’t loaded plenty of kids toys for the long car voyage forward, the children have unexpectedly got sick and tired of the whole thing and the iPad’s battery has just simply died. But don’t give up hope! You don’t have anything to play a couple of rounds of entertaining quizzes and games. Everyone could get involved and you may even make use of a brain-boosting memory game or two. Pick-a-picnic, Zoo quiz, Theme song sing-along, Animal name mania, Secret map quest.

Teachers should adopt different approaches to make learning effective and healthy. They should adopt pedagogy through which students can keenly interest in learning lessons. They should have an art to keep students active in class.
