Multitasking is certainly something the iPhone could use, but otherwise I'm perfectly happy with it. And I actually use a lot of the apps on a pretty regular basis, so to move to something with fewer apps would be a step backward.

Dan - one thing that turned me away from the palm pre is the startup time... a WHOOPING min 30 seconds to boot up that is just CRAZY.
I am sorry but the plam pre was a dissappointment... it had a ton of potential but the ball got dropped.... But that isn't to say if the release a better Plam Pre 2 or whatever and fix many of the quirks that it couldn't give apple a run.

Using the iPhone (or any touch-based Apple device) makes me feel like I am wearing boxing gloves.

I'm not into glitzy games or apps, the only 'apps' I use on my BB is email, Google Maps and Memos.

Used to have an iPhone ... hated it also. Went to a much less flashy BUT MORE PRODUCTIVE Palm Centro. Sprung for the Palm Pre and haven't looked back. Spectacular device. Multi-tasking is no gimmick and I guarantee you Apple is scrambling to get this functionality on the iPhone. And once the apps start to flood in, the Pre will be a forced to be reckoned with.

Also, I don't think enough attention has been given to Sprint as a MUCH more reasonably priced carrier, especially considering what you get. People who buy these phones expect to use a lot of data (web, texts, GPS)... Sprint gives you UNLIMITED data, including GPS, on ALL of their plans!! With AT&T, unlimited texts and GPS are extra. What a rip. People need to wake up! Didn't the recession teach them anything? LOL!
