Huawei UMG181 will be the first USB Broadband for T-Mobile
Today seams to be a good day for T-Mobile users. After the line up road map for Q1 2009, FCC showed us the first official USB broadband for T-Mobile USA. The new Huawei UMG 181 USB Mobile Broadband can rotate and will support 8 bands GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA in 850, 1900, 1700 and 2100.
So far, we don’t have any information about the date. so keep in touched.

finally…..
but I still prefer tethering

I’d use it if my employer paid for it!
I agree with Greenblood in that tethering is a much more sensible option being that HSDPA/HSPA allows for simultaneous voice and data. It’s also cheaper to tether with T-Mobile using your existing HSPA phone than to subscribe to a separate data service.
This could be a sensible option for those who subscribe to other carriers but want to use a data only device assuming T-Mobile prices their service cheaper than their competitors.
