Huawei UMG181 USB stick hands-on
On Dec 30th, FCC showed us the first USB broadband with AWS (2100 and 1700 ) UMTS/ HSDPA and HSUPA for T-Mobile. Now we got it in our hands.
T-Mobile is planing to launch the first broadband USB stick probably next month. Are you looking for something small and easy to carry? Splendid news — Huawei and T-Mobile will introduce an all new USB model, USB Stick UMG181.
HUAWEI UMG181 Rotate USB Stick can support GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTSHSDPA/HSUPA mode and
1700M Band. During this measurement, the HUAWEI UMG181 Rotate USB Stick just works in
GSM/GPRS/EDGE/UMTSHSDPA/HSUPA mode and 1700M Band.
TM1: GPRS/GSM Mode with GMSK Modulation
TM2: EDGE Mode with 8PSK Modulation
TM3: WCDMA Mode with QPSK Modulation
TM4: HSDPA Mode with QPSK Modulation
TM5: HSUPA Mode with QPSK Modulation
Boasting a simple black design, with green/emerald color around, retractable USB connector.

this 3G stick looks nice, but I’d still prefer tethering
having voice and data on a single number, and 3G can run voice and internet once, tethering solution is more practical for me
