does verizon offer any upgrade options for earlier hours to start n&w say maybe 7:00 pm instead of 9:00 pm?
No, but expect that option to be available in the future. Verizon Wireless is just now becoming competitive with the products and services they offer due to the upcoming 700 MHz spectrum auction.

As much as I'd like to see 7 PM nights as an option (heck, I'll even take 8 PM)...I'll play the devils advocate at this point...
VZW has one of the highest ARPU's...people are jumping to VZW, especially with the influx of new phones, I don't see VZW really needing to offer 7 PM nights...and if they don't NEED to something, they won't...

True, but there is always hope. They ARE altering their business model as we speak, lol.

Several of my friends and I just jumped from verizon to t-mobile for better rates. Verizon unwilling to match. Do like Verizon phones but not that much

It's like I say, everybody has to go with the carrier that works for them...in your, if T-Mobile's service matches the level of service you expect, then kudos to you...in the end it matters only to you...

Well put my friend, I couldn't have said it better myself. I do envy the freedom of choice in the handsets that the GSM camp has but I don't want to give up my reliable coverage in the U.S (being that I don't leave the country that much).

Same here...where I live, I don't get the same consistency as I do with VZW, or even Sprint for that matter...in my line of work, I NEED my phone to work...
Well the only reason verizon doesn't offer nights and weekends at 7 is because they aren't trying to attract kids or teenagers if you notice vzw colors are black and red they wanna attract business men and women or in other words the corporate world and they focus on income as oppose to customer satisfaction unlike T-Mobile which the colors are white and pink meant to attract women and young teens especially with the side kick with the plans they offer they give you so many options to go with it but what gets sacrificed some times reception and other times they just don't have certain phones but it is what it is to eaches own take heed to what I was saying about which particular audience same goes for at&t and sprint
