I'm contemplating on whether or not to purchase this handset as my business phone. Does this phone have the ability to view/edit documents?

Natively? No, at least editing (it does support viewing major file types such as PDF's and DOC's)
There is however third party software available that allows you to edit documents...
Do BlackBerry devices support DocumentsToGo?

VZWUser, you've made my day. This was also one of my concerns as even though I don't really edit documents on the go completely, it'd be a nice option. I was getting ready to say, "No, but there is eOffice for $199!!" but I went to DataViz's website and sure enough I found this:
Glad to hear that DocumentsToGo will be compatible with the Pearl!

Just thought I'd give a little update here for the Pearl folks. I'll be getting mine this coming Thursday, the 24th. Am I stoked? You better believe it! Although I think the fact that my e815's "2" and volume up button sometimes doesn't work.
I'll report back with my first impressions, pics, and more then.

I'm sure you'll love your new Pearl once you receive it, but I'm waiting for the upcoming Curve release!

Don't think I'll move to the Curve once it gets released, but I am about to purchase a Pearl off of eBay. How do you go about transferring your custom made ringtones to your Pearl? Can e-mail messages have a ringtone assigned to them (each e-mail address separately)?
