New Rate Plans Nov 1st!

The main difference with the new Nationwide calling plans is that Mobile Web is now included in with the price of all plans. However, when using Mobile Web on "Basic" and "Select" plans, you will be billed $1.99 per MB, instead of it using your plan minutes. Also, downloading through Get-it-Now will be billed as using data in adition to the price of the download. The only options not to be billed per MB is to add the $15 "VCast VPack" or $25 "VCast Mobile TV Select", which includes unlimited data usage, or select a "Premium" calling plan.

Verizon's Nationwide Calling & Data Plans

$1.99/MB seems like a bit much, but at least it's not based on time for pay per use.
Any VZW customers like this new move, starting November 1st?

they used to charge by how long u were online? thats crazy. $1.99 is pricy... but that verizon for you

There's a huge discussion going on over at howardforums.com about this, I'm still confused on all of it.

$2/MB may be overkill, but $.01 - $0.02/kb can add up rather quickly... the per kb rate, when converted to a mb rate, is expensive ($10 - $20). Granted, most folks are not going to use that much data without being on some sort of plan.

funny. i used to use a verizon samsung pda phone that was so old it billed by the minutes not kb so i guess i switched phones just in time.
