Talking Do wireless boosters increase the signal strength?

At my job, I get really spotty service. It's annoying cause I drop a lot of calls. Ive been thinking about buying a wireless booster. Do you think something like this would work? Cell Phone Signal Booster antenna

Default Signal Boost

Ya know, I always thought they were a croc, but there a package of 1 booster stuck inside something else I had ordered form ebay so I decided to try it in my Dash. I gotta say, it doesn't hurt any. I have poor service inside my house normally getting just a little square of service, not even the 2nd bar and after putting the booster under my battery, it's helped. It's not gonna work any miricales though. it moved me up to a solid 2nd bar which is better than i did have. The instructions said if you can fit 2 of them under your battery to go ahead and do so. I'm thinking about getting another 1 to add and see how much more it helps. I don't know too much more about them but I found them cheapest on ebay. Here's a place to get started: eBay – cell phone, nokia and motorola items on eBay.com. Find IT on eBay.

I would like to find an antenna that I can put on top of a car and plug it into my phone to get a better signal. I have not seen any that will work for my phone. I do not even think there is a place to plug it in.

If it really helped, I think T-Mobile would offer them for sale. The fact that they don't offer them tells me that they probably don't help much, unless you have a loose battery cover that needs a space filler.

dont buy those things. how on earth could a little piece of metal on your battery help the signal. its not even touching any part of the phones antenna. and dont you think if something this small would make a difference every phone manufacturer would have them come included with your phone. those things are a joke. DO NOT BUY THAT CRAP.

Oh, youre prolly going to have to try a different phone, IIRC there is no coax connector on that model. All Motos have an external antenna access port, Im not sure about Nokia. Kinda ironic IMO, the phones that need them the most dont have them If you do need exceptional RF, I would look at a Nokia bar phone, followed closely by the Moto Razr or Pebl.
