Default Endless text messages!!!!!

I had recently gotten rid of my Nokia 5310 because I got absolutely no signal in my area with it, in exchange for a temporary phone just for a couple of weeks until my bill resets and I can grab a different phone.

Well, I have a Samsung SGH-T619 and since getting the phone, I've been getting text messages every 2 minutes, on the money, from 10476000000 the message reads, "n:m=1=1" or "n:m=1=2"

These messages never stop coming, and the option to simply leave my phone off does not seem to help. I'm kind of at a loss since I've tried to get it blocked, but apparently that number or code or whatever cannot be blocked. I've resorted to telling people that I just won't have a phone for 2 weeks, which is disappointing on my end.

Does anyone have any ideas of what it is? Do you think it'll stop when I get a new phone? I started having the issue the first time I booted the phone up after placing the SIM in it....

Have you tried calling customer care? I would expect something like that switching from a myfaves to a non myfaves phone but the 619 has myfaves so there goes that theory. It's also not a 3g issue being neither phones have 3g..... Call customer care (and please don't be me that takes that call!!!) Good luck!

Ok, Update (intrigued me....)

Quote:
Unwanted Text Messages (SMS) from +10476000000 with the message containing "n:m=1=1", are from the Consumer E-Mail service.

Using the Consumer E-mail Application with a supported handset (i.e Samsung Blast, Motorola W490, etc.) then changing devices can lead to this situation. This message is usually delivered every hour, until the service is stopped.

To stop these messages, remove the e-mail address from the handset or from the consumer e-mail service.

Nokia 5310 - email client.
Samsung T619 NO email client!

Hoping this will work but log into your MyTmobile, go to Learn > messages and email then scroll down to Setup my email. If deleting or stopping your email don't help, call and ask for help!!

Thanks, I'll try that, though I never used the email client on my 5310. Hmm... maybe it's an issue regardless. =D I'll edit this post in a bit if it works~ Thanks!
