Dash and 8GB Micro SD cards

I'm getting ready to move back to Sacramento, and bought a new 8gb MicroSDHC card by SanDisk to copy my files from a computer at home I can't take with me. The Dash isn't recognizing it. Does anyone have any tips to help the Dash recognize it..?

Sorry about that but the dash is only capable of accepting memory cards up to 2gb. A phone must have a micro sd slot hc(high capacity) in order to read memory cards larger than 2gb. Just check phonescoop.com. It gives you info on the capacity of phones in their specs.

I've had no luck at all on this with my phone. But on the good side, my Xbox 360 can read the files on it through the little keychain card reader that comes with it. So although I can't access my pix, videos and music on my phone with it, I can get them when I arrive at my new place with my 360, cos it has 2 USB ports in front, one in the back..

There are other rom's out there that will accept that card. I know the rogers rom will. Check out Excalibur - xda-developers for more help there.
