Default Samsung SGH-t339 - Verizon FIOS

My wife has been trying to connect her Samsung SGH-t339 to our Verizon FIOS Actiontec MI424-WR router (firmware version 4.0.16.1.56.0.10.7) at home. We don’t subscribe to the T-Mobile “Hotspot@Home”. The phone gives her the following message: Wi-Fi connection failed W002. I understand that this error message means that the phone is not able to get an IP address from the DHCP server to establish a connection. She uses the WEP (64-bit) key. My BlackBerry Curve seems to be working fine. Its wireless coverage indicators show that I can use UMA.

Does she need to change her phone's settings? It seems that her phone works fine with other Wi-Fi networks. Any suggestions?

My wife's Samsung SGH-t339 is working fine now. Instead of choosing the wireless network at home from Available networks, she manually added the network. She checked Inter AP handovers and chose Dynamic as IP setting.
