the reason I was asking was because the update was missing for a few days now. It just popped up today and yes, it's an offical os/rom update from t-mobile.

the new rom gives me about 20mb of program memory free without changing any settings at all. the orginal rom gave me 10mb free which wasn't enough to do anything.
