Non-SMS Messenger? - Tmobile User Community

I am maybe searching with the wrong terms maybe, but I don't NEED text messaging, but do need the total internet, is there a text messenger (aim/msn/google talk) that does work without using SMS for the Dash WM6? The rep on the phone when I placed the order said that Windows Live Messenger used to not use SMS, but wasn't sure if it still did or not.

I am pretty sure that Live Messenger uses data instead of SMS.

There are a few others out there that use data only [or can switch between the two], but the ones that immediately come to mind are IM+ and Agile Messenger

I believe Agile messenger is still free, I can't tell by the website, and IM+ costs $29.99 after a free 7-day trial.

Agile costs now I believe, It's what I used on my Dash and is well worth it.

Yeah, it seems a little pricey though, I'm still waiting on my data plan to be activated (had some issues with my original order) but I'll give any and all that have trial periods a test run before I spend any money. Thanks again!
