Dash can't get Tzones - $5.99 internet also...

Hi there,
I bought a Dash, used but great condition- Windows6 version.
I signed up for the $5.99 tmobile web plan and found out you can't actually get anything with this plan! So two questions:
1) I heard that there are hints on how to get internet access with the $5.99 plan- can anyone walk me through it?
2) I can't load the Tzones on my Dash - it tries to connect, takes forever, and then just can't get a connection. The Tmobile Tech line said it is my SIM card but my SIM card is fine, works in other phones fine, etc.....anyone have this problem??

One of the links in the Dash FAQ on here is http://dashapps.googlepages.com . If you go to that site and scroll down to the bottom, it has the settings to use the $5.99 T-MobileWeb plan. Just remember that in some places the port is blocked, so you still may not be able to use it. Once you get the settings put in, then T-Zones should work.

How can I get it unlocked if so?

is it normal for the Tzones not to work on the dash until these settings are in place?

You don't need the phone unlocked for those settings to work. Mine isn't unlocked, and I'm using the $5.99 T-MobileWeb plan. As far as T-Zones, I'm not too sure if it's normal. I had the $5.99 T-MobileWeb before I got my Dash, and knew about the proxies ahead of time, so as son as I got it, I entered the proxies and made the other changes in the settings.

Okay- I broke down and bought the $19.99 unlimited internet because nothing was working. AFter I upgraded, I found out that there was a problem with Tmobile service in my area the last few days! Now I'm wondering if that was the only problem in the first place. Soooo......is there anyway to tell if the hack for $5.99 will work on my phone now? I don't want to cancel the $19.99 if it's not going to work.
