Before you start up the Dash, eject your memory card. Start it up, and when it shows the second T-Mobile flash screen, wait about 10-30 sec. and put the memory card back in. If it doesn't load up, try it again..

I'm new to the site, but really enjoy the information.

Has anyone come up with anything better than the memory card trick for re-booting the DASH?

It's a huge pain in the butt to remove the cover, pull out the card, wait for the boot up, plug in the card, and hope that it doesn't lock up again!

.....try doing all that while using your laptop, drinking a coffee and driving on the highway!!!!

Any help would be very useful.

Other than hard resets, not much else is easier. It's more stable than PC Windows, but it's not exactly Symbian.. Then again, power cycling is helpful as well; at least once a day.

You've tried hard resets already? Turn off the phone and remove the battery door, but keep the battery in. Turn the phone on and wait until it boots up to the T-Mobile screen, then quickly remove the battery. Wait for 10 seconds, replace the battery and battery door and turn on the phone again. Reply back with the results.
