My inbox on my Dash reads as though there's a new txt msg. I keep checking and even delete the entire Inbox and still, it says 1 new txt. It's nowhere to be found. I powered down a couple times and even unseated then reseated the SIM card. Anyone know any pointers about this?

Are you using the default theme or a custom theme?

I have a custom theme, but they use options that are factory default options. I have home screen layout of Tmobile Blue, colour scheme of Windows Mobile Green, and Bg Image of Tmobile.

And what was it that you may have been doing on or with the phone before the text message bug started? Anything you were trying to modify before it started to happen?

I'm thinking it may have been the service out here in Topeka, KS because we're in the middle of a big ice storm. I was sending txt's at the time. You think I might have to see if a call to 611 is needed in case it could be a case of a txt msg stuck in limbo?

I'm still looking into this. I've never experienced this with my Dash but I am trying to recreate it, and perhaps poring over the registry will show some kind of setting to reset.

For better or for worse I doubt it is the service , but if you want to be sure you can try sending yourself a text message from T-Mobile:

1. Log into my.tmobile
2. Scroll down to the bottom of the page
3. Click on Send a text message... send one to yourself

...for me it's surprisingly instantaneous.

You can also PM me your number and I'll text you if you want to be sure. Aside from it being a text message in limbo, it's a bug in the architecture of the Dash AFAIK. You can also try to change your theme and do a soft reset by pulling out the battery.

I'm trying to avoid the "obvious" solution which would be to hard reset your device. If we [CellPhoneSignal] cannot solve your problem then that may be your only option.

I'll be poring over the registry for you.

The thing this makes me think of is when you get a new VM and you play it and you think you've saved or deleted it, but the VM logo stays on. So you call VM again, and then when you hang up, the VM logo disapears. I'll call 611 and see what to do, cos I don't wanna hard reset unless absolutely necessary, especially in this weather situation..

Edit: I ended up having to hard reset it, even with a call to 611.. =(
