My BB Pearl is having some issues with the screen. It appears as if theirs lines going through the screens and its basically just shot. This just so happen to occur on the last day of my warranty through t-mobile and me not knowing this decided to call the next day since my phone broke on thanksgiving. Well T-mobiles not going to replace or repair it, they referred me to go to RIM to have it fixed. Well RIM is going to charge me 190 for repair and 230$ for replacement. Its christmas season and I'm not really in the mood to fork out 200 to have my screen replaced with christmas gifts i have to buy on top. I've been looking at getting a whole new phone but there again anything I want is over 200$. So being in Chicago I'm hoping that I can somehow get it fixed here ? ! I would assume someone would know how to do this for me for less than 100$. Anyhow anyone with any ideas/solutions would be appreciated. I'm about ready to run my phone over with my car since its completely useless for anything besides calling people, which is not the only reason why I paid 300$ when it came out last year.
