| I read something about CSR setting you into FlexPay for commission when really what you have is prepay. My, That's Irritating: T-Mobile Refuses To Process Your Credit Card Order, Then Processes It Anyway... After You've Gone To Another Company - Consumerist I ordered the phone online and when I got it, I activated it. Never was I asked to setup a pass phrase or a PIN. When I called 611 to ask a question about my handset, the CSR made me set a 4 digit PIN and a pass phrase. If this was required, why didn't they do that while I activated it? I'm told it's REQUIRED. Are those required on PREPAID ToGo? Did I get sucked into FlexPay unknowingly? |

| When I was on Tmo2Go, I had emailed customers service about my account and when they replied, they advised me to call CS to set a pin and password for my account as I had never done so. They said this was a new security system they were implementing and that eventually everyone would have to do it. I know sometimes when you ask multiple CS people the same question , you get multiple answers, but this is what they told me at the time so I did it for all 3 of my prepaid accounts I had at the time. I'm now on Flexpay and when I activated the account, the dealer had me set a Pin for the account. So it seems to jive with what was in the email. Hope this helps.

| The pin number is for your own security, and has nothing to do with Flex Pay. With T-Mobile To Go the PIN number is set by default as the last four of your wireless number. You can either call CS to change this or go to My T-Mobile. com to change it. On PrePaid you don't use the last for of your SS number as with the postpaid plans, so the PIN number acts in its place. |
