Re: is it possible to SEEM edit moto 3G phone to AWS compliant?
the reason it came so easy was because either T-Mo removed it (V300, V600, V360), or because it wasnt in the Euro Spec E398. Basically, If the radio doesnt have it, a seem cant create it.
In the V8s case, we dont know if it is a hidden feature yet, like EDGE on a V3t, or a case of a missing band.

Right, the main thing is having the 3G AWS hardware component in the phone to be able to enable it through a seem edit. It sucks, otherwise I'd definitely do it to a few 3G motos our there, but its hardware.

My opinions/views/comments are just that, MINE, no one else's, not T-Mobile's, or any other carrier, any of their dealers, or any manufacturers.

Re: is it possible to SEEM edit moto 3G phone to AWS compliant?
So pretty much: If the AWS bands were put on the phone, but then disabled by T-mobile, you could SEEM edit them to make them available, but this wont work because the AWS bands are not on the phone in the first place.
Correct me if I'm wrong =)
Re: is it possible to SEEM edit moto 3G phone to AWS compliant?
That's right, Shawn. The hardware has to be there first. If it's not, then a SEEM edit to enable it isn't possible. If it is there and disabled, then that's when a SEEM edit could work.
