A. N11 codes (or "N-one-one codes") are three-digit numbers that you can dial to access various services from your phone. Some standard N11 codes include:
211: Community information and referral services (In some parts of the country, this number is used to access organizations such as United Way.)
311: Non-Emergency police and government services
411: Directory assistance
511: Travel, traffic, and transportation information
611: Repair service
711: Telecommunications relay services (This number is available throughout the country for access to TTY, TDD, and other communications services for the hearing-impaired and speech-impaired.)
811: Call before you dig (In some parts of the country, this number is used to access notification systems to help prevent damage to underground utilities when you are digging.)
