Here's a HOT DEAL for everyone that wanted a Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset (I know at least one person was looking for a BT headset at a good price)! (Yes, I know this may not be directly T-mo related, but IMO this case this is a "hot enough deal" on a potential T-mo phone accessory to warrant its own thread posted in General Discussion... Mods please move this thread if you think otherwise.)

Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headsets are on sale at Office Depot this week (7/8 - 7/14) for about the CHEAPEST PRICE I'VE SEEN FROM A RELIABLE RETAILER:

NICKEL Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset = $59.99 - $30 Instant Savings = $29.99

PINK Motorola H500 Bluetooth Headset = $39.99

The NICKEL one is available both in-store and online, limit 1 NICKEL headset per online order. The PINK one is only available online, but is a "special delivery" item, which means it has a limited return policy (and may be shipped separately from other items). FREE online shipping for orders > $50. (So maybe if you ordered 1 NICKEL and 1 PINK you should get free shipping!) Combine with an Office Depot coupon (online or phone or B&M) or a competitor's coupon (B&M only; YMMV) for even more savings!



EDIT: Forgot to add that I've been using the H500 with my T-mo-branded RAZR V3 for a LONG TIME now, and IMO it's VERY GOOD (at least the genuine Motorola ones are... NOT the fakes you see all over ebay and less-reputable online and B&M stores). It's very easy to setup/pair, sorta awkward and loose at first (since this is an "over-the-ear" headset instead of "in-the-ear" bud earset) but once you get used to how it works then it's fine and feels pretty comfortable, has good volume and good access to controls, and has a REALLY LONG rechargable battery life (1 charge lasts me a whole week)! Overall, I probably wouldn't recommend it if it was sold at its MSRP $79.99 since you probably can get better ones at that price now, but for $30 (or less) it's a MUST BUY!

Pretty good deal for $30. But I got a Samsung WEP200 on ebay for $30 too (19.99 with 9.99 S&H) and it's genuine.

I would get this if I needed a BT headset though

Here's something to help picking out potential counterfeits, its a huge problem, Cingular COR stores even had counterfeits accidentally in the past. Its the official Motorola counterfeit guide.

I've chastised the H500 before, and here I am to do it again!

GOOD:

The audio quality is fine.

The battery is better than most.

CRAP:

The damn thing will not stay on your ear.

You cannot tilt your head whatsoever.

Speaking of tilting, turning your head will result in a flopping of BT proportions.

About a year ago I gave a guy 5 cigarettes and he let me have his H500. That said, people usually learn to live with things that they get on the cheap...not this time.

Yeah, the H500 was my first bluetooth headset and it really just did not feel well on my ear. Didn't stay on for a long period of time either, I had to keep readjusting it quite often
