| 3G will give T-Mobile the ability to offer a service like Vcast which they haven't been able to do yet. But the main reason a lot of people want it now is because it will allow faster access to the web. Whether someone is accessing the web with a new 3G phone or by connecting a laptop to their 3G phone, the connection will be much faster on the 3G network then it is on the current EDGE connection. |

| Verizon Wireless customers can watch audio and video entertainment like VH1, Comedy Central, NBC, and 24: Conspiracy on their cell phone. Hopefully the content to advertising ratio is less than the cable television versions of the same thing. Windows Media audio and video provides the delivery format at $15 per month on phones like the LG VX8000, Samsung SCH-a890 and UTStarcom CDM-8940

| essentially yes, when defined simply as "broadband mobile data network". the underlying technology that powers each network differs though. |
