Question Can anyone relate?

My friends have labeled me a "germaphobe" but I think they are crazy. We were having a debate about putting toilet paper on the toilet seat before sitting down. Does anyone else always put toilet paper down on the toilet seat in public restrooms (work, school, restaurants)? I do religiously. I think it's gross to just sit on the toilet without wiping it down with toilet paper and then laying down toilet paper on the seat.

Hopefully, I haven't offended anyone. I'm just curious if I'm weird or not.

i try my hardest not to have to sit down. ie hold it in. but when i gotta sit i always use TP or the rings that some places have. do you know how many diseases you can get from sitting on a tiolet. not to mention crabs too. i wouldnt consider that a germaphobe. i would consider that smart.

I completely agree with that. I do the same thing. You should hear the thing my dad hears people talk about at one of his jobs. You'd do it every time, too.

This reminds me of when I used to go shopping with my great-grandmother when I was young, we would go into separate stalls and she would ALWAYS badger me to put tp down on the seat. I used to try and be a rebel and say "yah grandma, I put some down" but I really hadn't!! I was a pretty gross kid! I hated taking baths too! I used to sit in the bathroom with the water running for 10 minutes and come out like I had taken a bath. Oh and sometimes I lied about brushing my teeth!! God, looking back, I was so gross!!

If I can't see anything visible on the toilet seat then I don't worry about it. There are more germs on that door handle you touch when leaving than there are on most toilet seats.

I tend to laugh when people walk into the restroom at work and go immediately for the toilet seat cover/paper dispenser. People should be putting this stuff down on their desks.

Let me say this...remember Finch from American Pie who wouldn't use anything other than his home bathroom. Thats me...I'll hold it, I'll bring immodium to work and suck it down life coffee before I'll use the toilet at work, restaurant, mall etc. I know what happens when I do other stuff in there, lets face it, men and our aim.

But come on. Thats your butt you are talking about. I put TP on the seat, and also I don't touch the doors with my bare hands.

LOL. I used to hear people say they train themselves to hold it til they get home. But, come on, sometimes you know you can't hold it, and you will burst.
