Some updates for you guys, since I havent been posting as I used to, thought I'd share this.
T-Mobile Value Visa Prepaid Card Replaces Paper Check for Mail-In-Rebates - Beginning Tuesday, April 1, customers who submit their mail-in-rebate through the current mail-in-rebate process will now receive a T-Mobile Value Visa Prepaid Card in the mail instead of a physical paper rebate check. The T-Mobile Value Visa Prepaid Card can be used for purchases at Server Error, MyEcount, gas stations, restaurants, and anywhere else Visa is accepted. The card can also be redeemed for cash at any bank that displays the Visa logo. There are no usage fees associated with this card. Mobile to Mobile First Month Free Offer - FYI only...Beginning Wednesday, April 2 through Tuesday, April 29, customers who purchase the $6.99 Mobile to Mobile add-on will receive their first month free. This offer is only available April 2 through April 29 on http//www.t-mobile.com or through 1-800-T-MOBILE LA Only - Promotional 1500 minute plan ends 4/15. Talk Forever Update - In order to ensure a positive customer experience, T-Mobile has delayed the launch of the Talk Forever product until June/July. An official communication will be sent later today. Til next time, hopefully sooner than later!

Awesome. Just one question though if you might be able to answer it... M2M is not a "contract" type deal, so what's to stop people from signing up during April, getting their first month free, then just ditching it? Is there some other fine print somewhere, or is that just an "exploit" they are risking?

I wonder if T-Mobile will do that H@H promo like they did last year with the first 100 customers to come to the story with a robe would get a free phone and service for 1 year. I have one of the promos that was given off last year.

Not a problem!! Anytime!
As for this, I haven't heard anything similar. I do know the new H@H campaign will be drastically different since "Jimmy" didn't really do so well in explaining or selling the product. The promotional pricing is still in effect ($9.99 for fam or indiv. plans), which is HUGE, and T-Mobile plans to push TalkForever in a big way, so I don't want to say you can expect a similar type of promo as the "Robe" promo, but T-mobile will certainly do something to push it hard to customers. So we can expect something!

So, it's not on the website, store reps don't know about it and telesales reps don't know about it. The first month is going to be automatically made free for existing customers and new subscribers and they won't know about it unless they notice that they are not being charged for the first month?
Would an existing customer be able to see this if they try to add unlimited M2M via their handsets? |

Understand that I get certain information whether it pertains to me or not, this doesn't apply to my particular channel, therefore, to me and what I need to do, it's not something I'm going to dive in and research just because I cannot use this information for our sales channel. I hope I'm not coming off the wrong way, but if I do get more information, I will definitely post it, when I can. =)

One rep told me that this promo was supposed to start yesterday but it has been put on hold. The rest I talked to don't know about it, neither telesales nor store reps.
Some sales reps are willing to use their discretion to give new and existing customers a credit for the equivalent of the first month's charge for that add-on. But that's about it for now. Last edited by wralford; 04-03-2008 at 11:35 AM. |
