So I know that T-mobile charges a set-rate for calling international numbers, but lets say I talk to someone for 10 minutes. I will get charged a lot of money for this time, but will this also come out of my minutes bucket, or not? I couldn't find the answer on the site. Thanks guys.
Also...Where can I find rates for international calls? I'm really liking this site so far! Its really helpful |

1. int'l minutes come out of your minutes bucket depending on what time it is. peak vs off-peak
2. int'l minutes will always cost an additional per-minute fee |

I have had the same questions, as I will be taking a cruise to Cozumel, Jamaica, and Grand Cayman in August. I hadn't realized that the minutes come out of your bucket AND cost the additional fee. Not that it really matters, as I usually use less than 500 of my monthly 1500 minutes.

A related question: I don't get much voicemail, but if I get a voicemail, it is my understanding that they charge me, even if I turn the phone off after arriving at my destination. Is the only way to keep from getting charged the int'l roaming is to turn off my phone before leaving the US?
I've never been on a cruise, so this is new territory for me. (The cruise is an anniversary gift from the inlaws.)

you dont get charged for getting a voicemail. you will get charged if you call in to listen to the voicemail. and dont use your phone on the ship or you will be paying around $8 a minute.

if you have a blackberry, i believe you can activate international data roaming for a nominal pro-rated fee. not sure about other devices

that's $19.99/month on top of the regular $19.99/month, right? at least it's pro-rated
