I own a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix. This is my first Pontiac and the power steering fluid is low. The manual says to use a GM power steering fluid. Is there anything at the auto parts stores or wal-mart that is just like GM fluid. I'm not sure what to buy because I know the dealership will be rediculously high.

An auto parts store should have it. Walmart, on the other hand may be hit or miss on whether they would have the right one or not.

I went to Advanced Auto and got some Penzoil Power Steering Fluid. Kind of a PITA to get the fluid in the filler since its between the firewall on the back of the motor, but its done.

Wow, that's an odd place for it. I have seen worse though. The starter on my car is kinda high on the back side of my motor. You can't see it from the top becuase of the intake manifold, and really can't see it from underneath because of other components and the frame. My car is fun, but a real pain to work on, lol.

I just wish I had a faster car, lol. The stock motor for my car is only 110 hp. My motor is a rebuilt motor(which has the cylinder heads bored .30 over already
), and I've done exhaust and intake work on it. I'm guessing that I'm getting around 135-140 hp out of this one.
