got a bad news about T639
the release date push back to 1 October HowardForums: Your Mobile Phone Community & Resource - View Single Post - SEPT 10 >> T639?!?! My God!!! what wrong with T-Mobile now?! recently I use the term FUD (Fear, Uncertain, Doubt) to describe the frustration to the users waiting for 3G is there anything going wrong on AWS????? I give one more month to see, if nothing happens then, I have no choice but say goodbye to T-Mobile (I pretty hate to go)

the worst part is there's NO hybrid hex-band unlocked phones, or I'll buy one when I take travel in Hong Kong, and simply forget T639

...not looking to get flamed, but may I ask what you plan to do with 3G? I'm just looking for a practical application that pushes me to spend the effort to explore... whatever is out there.
While I always like to go faster and farther... I'm much more focused on open source infrastructure, standards, and 'horizontal' integration at this time. I’m running away from silos as fast as I can…. As far as I'm concerned, wireless got boring years ago. Last edited by j__1; 09-11-2007 at 12:38 AM. |

greenblood, you tell everyone not to leave a carrier for a phone. Even though you will not be leaving for a *specific* phone, your phone choices will be limited when/if you go to AT&T. I advise you to take your own advice and dont leave for a phone. If you want 3G that bad get a data card from another carrier. Thats what i was gonna do when my laptop arives. MAny people left for the iphone, and you were the main perso saying avoid AT&T and the iphone, and not to leave a carrier or go to another carrier for a phone. When you leave, you'll still be limited to the few US compatible 3G phones they offer, and the few (although good) unlocked phones that work with US 3G. You've waited this long, and have influenced many others to wait for T3. And your gonna jump ship because the spectrum isnt available yet, or because the phone wasnt released yet. Any electronic device, be it phone, OS, video game, whatever, can suffer delays in their release date. Its an everyday thing. I think T-Mobile is doing all it can to put 3G on the market, their just suffering delays apparently. Give it a little more time. Their not really gonna care if you leave or not. You hyped everyone up about waiting on 3G, yet you will leave because its not happening fast enough. Everyone says that AT&T's 3G is full of holes, and dropped calls happen all the time because of the 3G->2G handoff. I doubt T-Mobile will release an unfinished product just for the sake of doing so. When they release 3G, I'm sure it'll be more reliable and handle handoffs better than AT&T. I'm not really concerned about 3G as much, since I have Comcast internet at home, high speed internet at work, and use my phone while im on the go. EDGE is fast enough for WAP browsing IMO. I want 3G, but i wont die if i dont have it. You bring us so many good points about t-mobile, encourage everyone to stay for various reasons, and now you turn the tables and say you wanna jump ship for 3G that isnt even reliable? By all means go ahead

I never change my principal of choosing carrier: do not pick carrier based on phone but this time T-Mobile disappointed us this time, currently there's NO hybrid hex-band unlocked phone, that I am limited to samsuck (yes, it always suck), and I think samsung products is unreliable I just don't understand why T-Mobile is always hestiant when pushing out new technology @Home MyFaves and T-Mobile Broadband Total Internet phone choice: does samsuck has good amount of DT share? we see samsuck products here and there, where's sonyericsson phones??????? I liked T-Mobile because they treat well towards military personnels, and rather liberal on data usage if I have no choice to jump, I'll lose money, and keep losing money!!!!! it's better that CEOs of T-Mobile USA, T-Mobile International, and Destuche Telekom to read this below: please stop giving FUD to customers; and let everybody knows T-Mobile is not a low class carrier if I can get everything that makes me satisfied, I wouldn't switch if I can find hybrid hex-band unlocked phones, I simply forget that samsuck!
