After some digging, here is what we know about the Samsung SGH-T739, also known as the Samsung SGH-260
The coversheet released by the FCC jumps right into saying that the T739 has UMA. On July 2nd 2007 Samsung submitted a 180 day short-term confidentiality request on the T739, so information is limited, yet we do have some leaked pictures. But back to the specs of the phone. Although Engadget missed this in their article, it looks like this the T739 will be a GSM 850/1900 phone with GPRS/EDGE (Sorry guys, no 3G on this baby). Heres some more Specs: Bluetooth: Yes, with stereo capability Display: 320x240 Internal Memory: 25mb Memory Expansion: MicroSD Camera: 2mp USB connectivity: Yes Wifi: Yes UMA: Yes Mp3 player: Yes Mpeg: Yes Flight Mode: Yes Battery: 3 hour talk, 220 hour stand-by T-mobile: Hopefully. We'll update you right here on any news of the T739

That is not the T739. I can say with fairly good certainty that it is the T649.
Here is another picture of the T739

Both of those sliders look better than the Blast. I liked my t629, and having a good UMA slider would be quite nice.
I do like the looks of the phone in post #4 better than the other one. It would be nice if both were coming T-Mo's way! So many phones, so little time... Last edited by Scooby214; 09-01-2007 at 01:43 PM. |

While I was on the phone with a T-Mobile rep the other day discussing H@H, he mentioned that, unfortunately, the only two phones they had were disappearing rapidly - the Nokia 6086 and I'm pretty sure he said the Samsung t739. I should have written it down when he told me, but I already knew going into the conversation that there are only two phones and the Samsung is the t409... not the "t7..." thing that he mentioned [the only digit I can be 100% positive about is the 7, even though it sounds familiar with it all added together]
There WAS a Samsung slider test phone that employees got when T-Mobile was first testing out UMA, but if this only hit the FCC on July 2nd then I don't think this is it... perhaps it was another t7xx that they decided wasn't working right? |

Mystictrust, the phone the the employees got was the Samsung T709...I remember hoping T-mobile didn't release Hotspot@Home with the T709...it was not a good phone at all.
Right now T-mobile has the Nokia 6086 and T409...but it sounds like the T739 may be coming our way soon. Unfortunately we don't even have an apprx. date. |

Don't forget the Nokia 6263
http://www.t-mobilesignal.com/forum/...hone-1039.html @Nwahs - Nice find on the t739 info! I never took the time to read the FCC filing.
