Has anyone purchased the 3G iPhone yet? What are the pros and cons of the phone? How is the build quality? Are you satisifed or disatisfied with the phone?

I have not yet, but plan to in the coming months. I say months because I'm not up for an upgrade just yet and shelling out 499 is a little too much for me at the moment. I did get a chance to play with it at the ATT store and while the phone is supposed to be 2 grams lighter than the original, it is pretty darn quick.

I am very impressed with the touchscreen phones. Sprint's Instict is an awesome machine as well. ATT's LG VU is pretty neat with the whole tv thing built in.

Well, seems you have at&t so you wont need it unlocked, but if you do need an unlocked phone I know many sites that sell them. I also know a site that will unlock your phone for cheap.

If I may. I just talked to my good friend that used to use T-Mobile, but she just switched to AT&T coz she bought the Iphone 3G. She said it's all about stylish. Most of the time she just turn off the 3G system as it uses a lot of the battery life. She was kinda dissappointed but I guess she can't switch back to T-Mobile because she has 2 yrs contract with AT&T.

I can't justify it. I will be sticking with my original iPhone. I don't need 3G or GPS. All I need are the apps.
