Wink T-Mobile 3G Nokia N96 on eBay!
This auction for a Nokia N96 that wouldn't get AT&T 3G has been labeled as having AWS band by the seller and "It uses the 1700MHz/2100MHz 3G frequency, which works with T-Mobile in the U.S." according to the seller.

I've requested of the seller the Type number from the battery compartment label. It will probably be an RM-247, the European version that receives 900/2100. I'll let you know when I find out. Just thought it was interesting that someone would assume it was an AWS device.

The reply I got was
"it's RM 247. it's an N96-3."

The RM-247 is actually a N96-1. a "6-band (GSM850/900/1800/1900 and WCDMA Band I/VIII) mobile phone with GPRS, EGPRS, Bluetooth and WLAN." to quote from the Summary for FCC Part 22/24 Compliance Test Report for the device. So, no T-Mobile 3G Nokia N96. I'll have to break the news to him.
