We have made history and I lived to see it. Our country has elected a man of color to be President of the United States of America.

It’s about time.

I wonder though, if anyone has thought past the historical event at the world wide implications? There are countries the will react unfavorably to an African American no matter what his office. The mere mention of his name, a Muslim name, will change the course of relations to countries, people, and our face to the world.

I am far from a racist and never will be racist. I am overjoyed that we have overcome the stodgy old white power mongers, and I am hopeful that this really will bring change to our country that is much needed.

Let’s just see if it happens though, or is he like the rest? Full of promises but never able to deliver.

You have made some valid points, some that I did not consider for that matter. Let us wait and see how the entire world reacts to this now.

actually, many more countries will react favorably to the fact that America has finally shown itself to be matured enough to appoint a citizen no matter their race or creed. a lot of western european nations doubted our ability as a country to be able to be progressive enough to do this.

a world leader is a world leader, and to think he may be frowned upon by other world leaders is quite shortsighted of you considering the leader of china is chinese, japan is japanese, etc. many leaders of african nations happen to be african.


contrary to popular belief, the majority of world leaders are NOT white or Christian.
