Default TomTom One XLS

I just got myself a TomTom One XLS. I heard those are one of the best. I know there are others that is good too.

Anyway, it can receive traffic information though monthly payments though Bluetooth (Cellphone) or I can get myself an antenna for it and get it for free.

I noticed the antenna, RDS-TMC Traffic Receiver, cost around $100. So before I get the antenna, I just wondering if there's a way to make one for cheaper or if there's a compatible antenna that will work for cheaper.

Actually, that's what I am doing now but it will be more convenient if it shows up on my GPS.

I got a MIO C310 from Circuit city on sales from $299.99 to $199.99 It has real street names calling out, and it comes with the traffic antanna that provides one year of serivce for free. It also has a 4.3 Inch screen which is nice.

good little system.
