I think about this every day as I pass that stupid mega millions lottery billboard... I'd give me Dad ten times his annual salary ($1.2 million) and get him a plane ticket back to the US and a house here in Austin. I'd also slip him the taxes on that $1.2 million, because that's a lot. Then he can retire.
I'd give my mom like $2 Million and a plane ticket to come see me here in Austin. I'd also slip her taxes so she wouldn't be stuck with a huge tax bill. Then she can retire
I'd give my brother $1 million and get him a ticket to Austin. Then he can focus on college - that's important
I'd give my sister $1,000 or so, since she needs to learn responsibility.
I'd focus on college and building the roots of the game development studio I plan on building in the future anyway. I'll also be my own publisher, I've seen what EA does to developers that need a publisher :-/ Ideally, I wanna be like Blizzard, but I want to treat my employees like Google employees [if ya'll haven't seen videos on their company chefs and free full meals for families and how they take ideas from all of their employees and all that.. go look it up]
My girlfriend lives with me so she doesn't need an extra bunch of cash, we'll share it =)
In the end, I'd donate to the ASPCA and some good organization for Alzheimer's and Cancer research. Then I'd pay the SBCA a little extra to ensure I won't get their stuff in the mail anymore... just because I've donated to them before doesn't mean I want my mailbox stuffed with their newsletters... even if they do have cute dogs and cats all over 'em
