Best Sporting Event You've Been To

What is the best even you have ever been to in person? No pay-per-view stuff either.

Don't worry if it's lame compared to the SuperBowl or WrestleMania , just let us know what you've been to that was fun.

I've been to a Monster Truck rally. It was intense and very loud. Before the show, they let people walk on the field and look at the trucks and take pictures. I didn't know how much suspension equipment goes into those things!

You know, I think I'll have to say a Motocross-type biking event in Sweden last October, it was a lot of fun I thought. The view was amazing too, and we even got there a few minutes after it started and the stadium was PACKED! It was quite loud most of the time, but really fun to watch. My buddy over there has something similar to an employee pass since he programmed the software for the scoreboard, hehe - he doesn't even work there, his company was contracted.

The home team won, so the fireworks were awesome afterward. Oh, and my oh my the amazing looking Swedish girls at that event... I want to go back!

I need to see a Monster Truck in person... actually, I want to sit in one.

I have to say my high school soccer game last year. I know neither soccer, or high school sporting events are that exciting, it was the state game, in the metradome, and the people were playing were people I had been going to school with, and playing soccer with for years. Definitely exciting.

My favourite sporting event I went to was the AFL Grand Final 2005 in Melbourne, Australia. (For those in the US, the AFL I mean is not Arena Football, but Australian Rules Football. Check Season 2007 - Official Website of the Australian Football League for more info.) It's the Super Bowl of Aussie Rules, and they do it big! They have a full week of activities and events beforehand. I arrived the day before, and could see the GF parade from my hotel room window.

Getting to my seat was a major run-around, but when I did, I was awestruck because this was my first ever Footy game. I had a couple of footy pies in one hand, and a cold Carlton Draught beer in the other. (At the Melbourne Cricket Ground, or MCG for short, the maximum number of beers you can buy in one transaction is 4, compared to most US Venues' limit of 2. Then again, the MCG also has an on-site betting shop; take that as you may.)

Although my favourite time wasn't playing, I became a Sydney Swan supporter for the day, and they won..! I would do it again in a heartbeat... if I had the vacation time and money..

Honestly the one that stands out in my head is WWF (now WWE) came to my town in Lousiana and it was the Iron Sheek Vs Mad dogg jim duggin it was Great! probably second best was a monster truck rally with bigfoot. I have been to man hockey, football and baseball games nothing to exciting happened at those.
